Network Engineer - LOAD BALANCE, LONDON, CISCO, CCIE, VOICE, MPLS. My Telecoms Client in London is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with some voice experience for a 3month rolling contract. You will be of CCNP/CCIE calibre and be available to start work within the next 2 weeks.

Knowledge & Experience
Typically has a good amount of network engineering experience ideally in the Telecommunications or related industry
Solid practical experience of network design, implementation, configuration, support - including routers, switches, firewalls
Excellent knowledge of products and services and a broad and current knowledge of offerings of Telecommunication industries to the business community
Experienced with deployment/maintenance/support of Network Monitoring and Management Systems such as Ciscoworks, Big Brother and Nagios
Must have understanding of OSI and TCP/IP model in turn
General knowledge of commonly used IP protocols/ports (RFC2780)
IP addressing (VLSM)
Experienced with routing protocols commonly used within ISPs including BGP and OSPF.
An understanding of MPLS networks - may have configured desired but not essential
Devices used:
Routers - Essential
o Cisco IOS trains v11+/12+
o C800s -> C12000s but not limited to.
o 802.1q/vlans, QoS
Switches - Essential
o Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches, Cat OS and IOS
o C1900s -> C6500s
o 802.1d, 802.1X, 802.1q/vlans, QoS,
Firewalls - (Partial Essential)
o Cisco PIX
o Checkpoint FW1 on Nokia platform, IPSO
o Designed and implemented IPSec networks including LAN-to-LAN / Clients essential.
Security - Essential
o authentication/authorization/accounting policies
o RADIUS/TACACS+, services include Cisco ACS.
Load Balancers - Essential
o Cisco CSS 11500 series
o Cisco ACE modules
o F5 Application Load Balancers
VOIP- desired but not essential
o Cisco Call manager
o Avaya IP-PBX
