Cognos Analyst Cognos London
As the Cognos Analyst you will assist the Analytics team in providing high quality reports, analysis and data interpretation. The information is available from an IBM data warehouse solution with Cognos as the front end and so will involve a good knowledge of Cognos framework manager, report studio and analysis studio as well as SQL and the Microsoft suite. The information will be utilised by, among others, marketing and financial departments to assist them to make important business decisions.
You must have a solid knowledge of the Cognos 8.n Business Intelligence product including Cognos framework manager, report studio and analysis studio. Experience in business intelligence. An ability to learn in a fast changing work environment. Excellent computer skills including an advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. Excellent level of SQL including joins and nested queries. You must be very numerate & analytical with a good attention to detail. An ability to analyse and resolve problems with good diagnostic skills. You must be a self starter with strong communication skills. Adaptable and flexible with an ability to multi task.
The ideal candidate will also have one or more of the following; A knowledge of an ETL and data warehousing tool, preferably IBM. A relevant degree with some statistics involved or applied knowledge of mathematics and statistics. Basic level of statistical knowledge.

The salary is dependent upon experience and the package includes BUPA cover (eligible after probation period), three times salary, death in service insurance, Annual bonus and Subsidised Gym Membership.
